Zoom Call Birthday Party
by Namita Das, India

One! One! One! One! One! One! One!
Fresh and bright. Good morning Mr Sun.

Two! Two! Two! Two! Two! Two! Two!
Grandpa brought a red dress and blue shoes.

Three! Three! Three! Three! Three! Three! Three!
Grandma pulled my cheeks and tightly hugged me.

Four! Four! Four! Four! Four! Four! Four!
Today I have grown big, by year one more.

Five! Five! Five! Five! Five! Five! Five!
I jumped and gave Papa, big hi-five.

Six! Six! Six! Six! Six! Six! Six!
With Mamma’s help, I stirred the cake mix.

Seven! Seven! Seven! Seven! Seven! Seven! Seven!
The yummy cake is baking in the oven.

Eight! Eight! Eight! Eight! Eight! Eight! Eight!
Quickly joining online class, I won’t be late.

Nine! Nine! Nine! Nine! Nine! Nine! Nine!
Dressed in party wear, all my friends look, happy and fine.

Ten! Ten! Ten! Ten! Ten! Ten! Ten!
When I blow the candle, sing the birthday song and wish me then.

“Happy Birthday, Dear *_____*”
